GOVERNMENT TO RECONSTRUCT LINK ROADS TO ABIA MARKETS
The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has reiterated Government’s commitment to built virile road projects linking all the major markets in the State. The Governor stated during the inauguration of new leaders of the different markets in Abia State. Ikpeazu maintained that those roads when completed will ensure seamless movement in and out of the markets.
The Governor maintained that Abia has since this regime given premium attention to trade and commerce which forms one of the major pillars of its economic drive.
He stated that the mechanism employed in Ariaria market, Ukwu Mango through Faulks road is to ensure that the problem of perennial flooding in Ariaria international market becomes a thing of the past while the completion of SAMEC road will ease off traffic. He further maintained that such will be replicated not only in the markets but all round Abia State.
Governor Ikpeazu iterated that the construction in Eziukwu road is targeted at connecting to cemetery/Eziukwu market while about four roads including Ibandan, Aharandu, Emjiaka, Ibere roads has been delivered around Ahia Ohuru and assured the people that NDDC will complete Ohanku and Obohia roads.
Dr. Ikpeazu assured that the precast of Osusu road has commenced and ask them to look out for the quality of construction Osusu road will have.
