Traditional rulers from Isiala Ngwa North LGA say that they are deeply proud and impressed by the giant strides of the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

In particular, the monarchs said that they are grateful to the Governor for finding their illustrious son, Rt. Hon Prince, Christopher Enweremadu, fit for appointment as Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state.

The traditional rulers stated this yesterday when they received formally, the Honorable Commissioner yesterday at the palace of the Chairman of the Isiala Ngwa North Traditional Rulers Council, His Majesty, Eze J Nwabekee at Eziama Ntigha. Eze Nwabekee is also the Eze Amara of Eziama Ntigha.

In addition, they thanked the Governor for approving funds for the construction of the following roads in their Council –

1. Amaorji – Isi Court Ngwaukwu road

2. Eziama Ntigha- Nsirimo Road

3. Express – Uratta Umuoha Road

4. Mbawsi -St. George’s Road.

All of these road projects are currently on going with definite completion schedules.

Responding, the Commissioner, Rt. Hon. Prince, C O Enweremadu thanked the monarchs for the honor and assured them of his total dedication to the discharge of his duties in the support of the Ikpeazu administration. He assured them that Governor Ikpeazu is determined to turn things around in the state and told them that the four road projects will be competed on schedule with others to follow.

The Commissioner, who is a former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and the first son of revered traditional ruler, His Eminence, Eze Dr. Sir Bernard Enweremadu tasked the monarchs to help educate their subjects on the need to support the government of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, assuring them that he will use his good offices to sustain the existing solid relations between the Governor and traditional rulers in the state.

The monarchs later prayed for the Commissioner and poured libations.

The Commissioner was accompanied on visit by the President of the Ngwa Patriots Forum and a son of Ntigha, Chief Okey Ahiwe, a former Transition Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Barrister Alex Nwosu, a Commissioner on the board of ASOPADEC, Chief Uzo Ihuka, and others.
