The wife of the Governor of Abia State Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu has commended the Abia State University Women Association towards their effort to put the youths on the right part in order to realize their dreams.
Mrs Ikpeazu made their commendation at Abia State University, Uturu, during the commissioning of the Interactive Hub “Nnenany” built by the Abia state University Women Association (ABSUWA), she described the project as a welcome development for strengthening future families, communities and the nation.
The Abia First Lady said that the Vice Chancellor of ABSU, Prof. Uche Ikonne for promoting the stability in the institution and setting the legacy of the citadel of leaning pointing out that Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is determined to promote education and make it accessible to call Abians.
Speaking, the Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Prof. Uche Ikonne thanked the Governor’s wife for her maiden visit to the institution to commission the ABSUWA Hub which is timely considering the joyous mood in the state for the victory of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu at the supreme court.
In her address, the president of the Abia State Women Association, Lady Uzoamaka Uche-Ikonne said that the concept of “Nnenany Hub” was drawn from the pet project of the first lady, the Vicar Hope Foundation, which has been of great help to the vulnerable persons.
The chairman of the occasion Dr. Ogbonna Onuoha stated that the value and impact of ABSUWA are overwhelming in the university and beyond and expressing gratitude to the Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for their giant strides is uplifting the welfare of the down trodden in the state.
Top Government functionaries, including the wife of the Deputy Governor, Lady Viviane Ude Oko Chukwu attended the event.
