The warning, according to the Government became necessary following reports that some beneficiaries have defaced the branded vehicles and have also turned them to private vehicles.

Rather than convert the vehicles to private use, Ndukwe said, the Government expect the beneficiaries to engage the services of other youth who have not benefited to assist them get something doing.
Consequently, the Government has set up a monitoring task force that would ensure that the beneficiaries of the vehicles are using them for commercial purposes.
Last month, Abia State Government under its Youth Empowerment Programme gave out about 200 branded vehicles, made up buses and cars to some youth to be used for commercial purposes as a way of engaging them.
