The New PLANNING COMMISSION BUILDING COMMISSIONED

The governor, Chief Theodore Orji has commissioned the Abia state planning commission building and charged the staff to produce quality results to transform the state.
Speaking while commissioning the building, the Governor said that the building is befitting for the commission noting that the business of planning is intellectually tasking and needs to be carried out in serene atmosphere.
He said that the government is also constructing a befitting secretariat for workers to make them comfortable and implored workers to reciprocate the state government’s gesture.
According to him, the gestures are meant to boost workers morale to perform optimally and charged the Planning Commission staff to take good care of the building.
Chief T. A. Orji who stated that his government is in a hurry to develop the state said that government is resolved to lay a solid foundation that will uplift the state and disclosed that he wants to leave legacies in every facet of the state’s economy.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Executive Secretary of the Abia state planning commission, Dr. Mrs. Uloma Uruakpa explained that the commission has faced a suffocating  accommodation problem and thanked the Governor for alleviating their  plight.
She disclosed that the commission has mapped out a part of the ground floor for internet services to serve government officials and the public to generate revenue for the state and promised that the staff will show more commitment to their duties.
